2008 May > DARE at Hyland Heights

Big congrats to Hyland Heights Elementary School (gr 6) D.A.R.E. grads. The Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program is a thorough education curriculum designed to equip elementary school children with skills to recognize and resist social pressures to experiment with tobacco, alcohol and other drugs. This initiative geared towards the grade 6 level is important in order to prepare them for entry into high school where they are most likely to encounter pressure to use drugs. We hope it will also instill a lifelong commitment to avoid drugs, which would negatively affect their careers and their futures.
