2008 May > Word on the Street

Doesn't this weather just make you think about gardening? The smell of the grass, the colours and the irresistible urge to get your hands dirty! Now that we all have spring fever this month's question just had to be "What is your favorite spring flower and why?"

Aaron Dajenais from Starbucks - DAISY - my favorite place to be is a friends house on Station St in Grand Valley, right on the river. There are daisies on both sides of the street - I look forward to it every year.

Christine Voyce at the Dufferin County Museum - CROCUS - they are the first flowers to poke their little heads out of the ground.

Julie Wilson - Booklore - TULIPS - because they are soooo bright & cheerful, which is great after the whole winter blahs.

Barb McCreath - Ontario SPCA - DAFFODILS - because they are sunny & yellow.
